The Digital Photography Show is my second podcast. I do it with my great friend and co-host Michael Stein. I'd link to his site, but he doesn't have one. But he's a very talented guy, and he should. Are you listening Michael?

I'm too lazy to write a whole thing about DPS, so I'll just copy this text from a one-pager we distribute to potential advertisers and guests:
What is The Digital Photography Show? The Digital Photography Show (DPS) is a podcast on The Podcast Network that is widely available through iTunes and other aggregators. You have heard of podcasts, right? If not, think of them as “internet radio” that you listen to at your computer or on any MP3 player. DPS is produced (pretty much) weekly and is available for the low, low price of free.
DPS features coverage of the latest and greatest products available to digital photographers, as well as tips, tricks, and interviews with leading photographers, authors and manufacturers. Like who? How about Scott Kelby, Rick Sammon and Bryan Peterson, for starters. Representatives from Alien Skin, DXO Labs, Wacom, Lensbabies, Expo-Imaging, and Phanfare, among other companies, have also been featured guests on DPS.
Who’s Talking? Scott Sherman and Michael Stein are the co-hosts/producers. They share a love of photography, a lot of enthusiasm, and almost no specific technical or professional knowledge. But that’s what our audience likes about them. Scott and Michael are old friends and regular people; enthusiasts like their audience. Scott’s a Windows/Canon guy, Michael is a Mac/Nikon shooter. They’re the guys most likely to download beta software or to “upgrade” a perfectly fine camera when a new version comes out.
Who’s Listening? The international audience for DPS is comprised of advanced amateur and professional photographers. A network-wide survey of listeners to The Podcast Network reveals that the audience is affluent, with a majority stating that they are more likely to buy the “latest and greatest” technology than their friends and family. They trust and relate to the hosts of DPS far more than they do to the voices they hear in the mainstream media.
They’re also totally cool people who have been incredibly generous with the feedback and support they’ve given to the show — goodwill that they’ve generously extended to our guests and to our advertisers.
So, how popular is The Digital Photography Show? DPS is currently the second ranked podcast for the term “digital photography” on iTunes. With over 70,000 downloads in the month of May 2007 DPS has shown tremendous growth since its inception a little more than a year ago. Who knows how far it will go?
Can I Be Part of the DPS Magic? Why not? We are actively seeking advertisers who want to reach our smart, enthusiastic, cool and highly-motivated audience. We are also always on the lookout for great guests. If neither of those ring your bell, you can always just subscribe — it’s free! We’d love to have you come aboard. Contact us if you’re interested.
